The myth of Château Mouton Rothschild, has been built on conquests and innovative moves throughout the whole period of its existence. It was bought in 1850 from Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild. In 1853 the baron changed the appellation from Château Mouton Brane to Château Mouton Rothschild. Its recovery starts in 1922, when Baron Philippe de Rothschild settled at the Château and took the destiny of the estate in hand.
The Baron was motivated by one and only ambition: to create the best wine of the world in its category, either if it is a big wine like Château Mouton Rothschild, or a branded wine as the famous Mouton Cadet. The same passion drives his daughter, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, to brilliant creations, as the single-variety wines, Escudo Rojo και Baron'Arques.
Mouton Cadet is the most famous branded wine of Bordeaux, with a history that starts back to 1930. Even if it is a wine with more than 70 years duration of life, it remains youthful and fresh in ideas, since it readjusts each time to the age's demands. The new Mouton Cadet is fresh and fruity, while preserving the characteristics of its legendary origins.

Elements of pepper and spices perfectly balanced with sophisticated notes of graphite and smoke, transfuse charm and nobility in an extensive range of aromas. The voluptuous palette, rich in black fruits and additional notes of cacao and biscuit, concludes with a full and impressively long-lasting finish.
The Château Clerc Milon was bought and totally refurbished by Baron Philippe de Rothschild in 1970. It is sited between Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Lafite. The average age of the grapevines is 53 years, while the vineyards are 300 hectares,
The Château Clerc Milon is internationally renowned and is of much higher quality than its ranking. Despite the fact that the aromas and alcohol in this wine are vivaciously present in the palate, its structure is soft. Rounded body and crispy flavour with strong tannins, that wonderfully balance with its acidity and aromas.
Château D'Armailhac belongs to the family of Baron Philippe de Rothschild since 1934. The Château and its vineyards are sited right next to Château Mouton Rothschild. The story of Château d'Armailhac is connected with the changes of its appellation. In 1855, in Mèdoc ranking, it was graded as 5éme Grand Cru Classé with the appellation Château Mouton d'Armailhac. From 1958 until 1988, Baron Philippe, gave it the name of his wife, Château Mouton Baronne Philippe. In 1988 the Baroness change the name to Château d'Armailhac, as the original appellation was.
Its colour is intense, dark red. Rich and at the same time elegant body, with wonderfully integrated mature tannins. A splendid freshness dominates, rounded by aromas of mature red berries and vanilla notes.
The selection of Sauvignon Blanc, is exclusively from vineyards from Entre-Deux-Mers area, sited between the rivers Garonne and Dordogne. The soils, ideal for Sauvignon Blanc, have large percentages of clay and limestone.

A historic wine of Baron Philippe de Rothschild estate. After a few unsatisfactory crops, the 1932 vintage finally met the expectations of Baron Philippe for the creation of quality wine. He bottled that vintage with the appellation Mouton Cadet, connecting in this way the great Château Mouton Rothschild with the concept “cadet”, that means "the youngest", as he was in his family. The wine was a great success at its era and continues until today to be among the top preferences of the wine-lovers.
